  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • ⅓ cup (75g) melted butter

  • ½ cup (100g) sugar (can reduce to ⅓ cup for less sweet)

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour

  • Optional: ½ cup (50g) chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
