  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cups (250g) powdered sugar

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2–3 tbsp milk or heavy cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions


Step 1: Infuse the Milk with Chai

  1. Heat the milk in a small saucepan until just simmering.

  2. Remove from heat, add the chai tea bags, and steep for 10 minutes. Discard tea bags and allow the milk to cool.

Step 2: Make the Cupcake Batter

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
