Vegan Chocolate Beetroot Cake

π Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
¾ cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
For the sauce:
1 cup pizza sauce (tomato-based or homemade)
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
For the toppings:
100g (3.5 oz) pepperoni, sliced
100g (3.5 oz) cooked sausage, crumbled
100g (3.5 oz) cooked bacon, crumbled
100g (3.5 oz) ham, sliced
200g (7 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp olive oil (for drizzling)
Optional: red chili flakes for a spicy kick
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add warm water and olive oil, and knead for 8-10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1–2 hours or until doubled in size.
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 250°C (480°F). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven as it heats.
Shape the Dough:
Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 10–12 inch circle. Transfer the dough to a floured baking sheet or pizza peel.
Prepare the Sauce:
Mix the pizza sauce with oregano and garlic powder. Spread a thin layer of the sauce on the pizza dough.
Assemble the Pizza:
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on the sauce. Layer all the meat toppings: pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and ham. Top with a little parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
Bake the Pizza:
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.
Finish and Serve:
Remove the pizza from the oven, drizzle with olive oil, and add a sprinkle of chili flakes for a spicy kick, if desired. Slice and serve hot!
Add extra meat: You can add ground beef or even more types of sausage.
Cheese overload: If you're a cheese lover, add extra mozzarella or try using provolone or gouda for extra richness.
Veggie touch: Throw in some bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions for balance.
